Biography

Dr. David Sheffler teaches courses in Medieval and in World History. His research interests include late medieval universities and pre-university education. In addition to several scholarly articles, he has published a book, Schools and Schooling in Late Medieval Germany: Regensburg, 1250-1550, which appeared in 2008 as part of the Brill Series, Education and Society in the Middles Ages and Renaissance. He is currently working on a scholarly biography of the Augustinian Hermit, theology professor, and anti-Hussite preacher, Berthold Puchhauser.
