We are social beings that inhabit a physical body as we navigate the external world. How do these aspects of existence across somatic, social, psychological, and situational domains influence and shape our health and somatic experience? My research program addresses this question in areas of personal health assessment, social connections and loneliness, and traumatic stress. More recently my research explores biobehavioral indices of stress and the human freeze response to threat.
