Biography
I am originally from Constanta, Romania. I graduated from my home-town university with a Bachelor degree in French and English literatures, and immediately following I started working as a middle school English and French teacher in my home town. At the same time, I taught English part-time at the university.
After 3 years in the school district, I moved to US to pursue a Masters in Educational Psychology at the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls. In 2003 I moved to Las Vegas to pursue a PhD in Teacher Education.
I have been teaching at UNF since 2008, working with both graduate and undergraduate students. Some of the classes I taught are as follows: Classroom Management and Communications, The Learning Process, Assessment, Educational Psychology, Models of Teaching, Instructional Strategies, as well as Managing Effective Learning Environments.
My research areas center around the Culturally Responsive Classroom Management and Pedagody, Teacher Self-Efficacy and Epistemological Beliefs.
