María Ángeles Fernández Cifuentes is an associate professor of Spanish at the University of North Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. Her research bridges early-modern Spanish literature with contemporary digital methodologies, focusing on the adaptation of historical texts using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enhance literature education. She is deeply engaged in developing educational resources in the classroom that increase student agency, develop essential job market skills, and promote equity and accessibility in education.
