Mona Nasseri

Assistant Professor

Personal profile

Biography

Dr. Nasseri received her PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo, OH in 2015. Her doctoral work centered on developing novel time and energy efficient algorithms for localization, based on movement patterns of sensors in wireless networks. She has continued her research as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, Davis, developing LDPC system for high performance optical communication systems. In April 2017, Dr. Nasseri joined the Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN, Department of Neurology as a postdoctoral fellow and have been working in the Mayo Systems Electrophysiology Lab (MSEL). In 2019 she was promoted to Assistant Professor of Neurology. Her research focus at Mayo Clinic was implementing machine learning and signal processing techniques to develop real time seizure prediction and detection algorithms using minimally invasive monitoring devices to record physiological signals. Her research interests include physiological signal processing, machine learning, information theory, coding theory and mobile communications networks.
