Biography
At UNF since 2011, Dr. Kreidl instructs core courses in the signals/systems track of the undergraduate electrical engineering program as well as graduate courses in image processing, probabilistic systems, stochastic control and cyber analytics. He founded UNF's Signal Processing and Network Science (SPaNS) Laboratory in 2011 and, in 2018, received a courtesy faculty appointment in UNF's School of Computing, since co-founding both the Machine Vision (MaVis) Laboratory and the Center for Cybersecurity. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Dr. Kreidl has over 30 years of research experience, over 50 peer-reviewed publications and two patents. Before joining UNF, he was a Principal Research Engineer in the Cyber Operations and Networking Group within BAE Systems' Technology Solutions Directorate (via 2005 acquisition of Alphatech, Inc., Burlington, MA) as well as a Research Affiliate in MIT's Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (Cambridge, MA). Other past appointments were with Lund University (Sweden), George Mason University (Fairfax, VA), the Institute for Defense Analyses (Alexandria, VA) and the Naval Research Laboratory (Washington, DC).
