About

Peter M. Magyari, Ph.D., FACSM, ACSM-EP, NSCA-CSCS is an Associate Professor of Exercise Physiology in the Undergraduate Exercise Science Program in the Brooks College of Health at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. His research focuses on the application of resistance training in both healthy and diseased populations. Peter is ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist and a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has served as Co-editor of ACSM's Certified News, a member of ACSM's Certification Exam Development Team, and served as Senior Editor for two of ACSM's hallmark textbooks (ACSM's Resources for the Exercise Physiologist 2nd Edition and ACSM's Certification Review 6th Edition) as well as co-authoring chapters in 4 widely used Exercise Science textbooks. Dr. Magyari has two boys, Myo and Rox and resides in Fernandina Beach, FL.
