Aesthetic Appreciation in the Artworld and in the Natural World

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

In this paper, I explore some parallels and dissimilarities between aesthetic appreciation that takes as its focus art objects and that which focuses on natural objects. I cover three areas. The first deals with general approach, whether a paradigm of engagement is more appropriate to environmental aesthetics than one of detachment and disinterest.
