Abstract

This Special Issue of the Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior (JEAB) honors the life and career of the late Murray Sidman (1923–2019). The excellent response to its call for papers attests to his status, as does the number of quality articles it includes. In this introduction, we summarize Sidman's contributions over some 70 years of professional activity for those who may not be aware of their scope and magnitude. We also discuss the included articles in relation to issues that Sidman addressed during his long and distinguished career.
