N2 - The present paper aims to make the design of a furnace that allow controlled burning of rice husk for obtain a pozzolanic ash, which is a product demanded for the production of refractory materials and as an reactive addition in high performance concretes. The study will focus on CPA "Eulalio Garcia", which aims to exploit the thermal energy from the combustion gases in different agroindustrial processes. The results show that the volumetric dimension of the combustion chamber will be 0.72 x 0.72 x 1.06 m, while the height and diameter of the stack will be of 6.40 m and 0.42 m, respectively. The excess air ratio will be 1.55 and the volume of air to provide 4.34 [m.sup.3]/[kg.sub.CA]. Furnace efficiency was estimated to be 86.63 % and useful heat in 10585.74 kJ /[Kg.sub.CA].
