Game On: Teaching Research Methods to College Students Using Kahoot!

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

This poster will demonstrate how to use Kahoot!, a free game-based learning platform, to make research methods an interactive teaching experience. Instead of lecture-based, mid-semester recap covering topics such as source evaluation, keyword refinement, and database searching, Kahoot! helps transform a class from boring to exciting. Attendees will learn how to design their Kahoot! as well as create buy-in with students.

Poster presented at the SEFLIN Regional Conference 2017 - Libraries: The New Town Hall, Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Klovens Conference Center, Florida International University, Biscayne Bay Campus.
