Abstract
The article provides an overview on the Physical Education-Teacher Education (PETE) program in the U.S. It states that every faculty members under the program are engaged in various forms of assessment for the purposes of program improvement and national, state, and institutional quality control. Its primary goals include socialization into the teaching profession, and development of excellent subject matter.
