Examines the linkage between self-efficacy, wrestling performance and relative affect prior to competition. Self-efficacy relative to positive and negative affect, cognitive and somatic anxiety; Necessity for researchers assessment of self-efficacy in a microanalytical fashion; Research investigations by Gould, Eklund, Petlichkoff, Peterson, and Bump, 1991; Requirement for recognition of potentiality of relative positive affect.
