Tommy G's New Learning Commons & Artwork

Research output: Contribution to conferencePresentation

Abstract

After several years of planning, the Thomas G. Carpenter Library received the funding to transform the first and second floors of the library, enabling us to increase seating capacity and create a modern showcase of collaborative learning spaces. This talk addressed the practical matters of moving and caring for the library's art collection during such a project and highlighted the new space, collaboration stations, interior design, furniture, and new sculptures.

Presented at the Fall 2015 meeting of the Southeast Chapter of the Art Libraries Society, ARLIS/SE.
