Why modifying (Some) works of art is wrong

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Fenner applies ontological and value theories in a discussion on the ethics of modifying artworks in a cultural memory account. If an artwork is respected as the product of an artist's time, talent, skill, and artistic expression this puts artworks in a more central position with regard to understanding cultural identity.
