About

Jennifer L. Murray is the Interim Dean at the University of North Florida's Thomas G. Carpenter Library.  With over twenty years working in academic libraries, she has a diverse history in the field, ranging from enhancing and migrating library systems, managing technical services, working on key projects such as assisting ProQuest to build a new, web-scale library management system, to using Tableau to develop informative, user-centric visualizations using library data.  Jennifer began her career at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, where for sixteen years she provided leadership in the management and support of the SUNY libraries’ integrated library system (Aleph), cataloging and metadata services, electronic resources, and the web-based applications used for discovering all-library materials through the University library's website.  In 2017, she joined the UNF Library where she currently provides leadership and oversight for all aspects of cataloging, acquisitions, electronic and continuing resources, digital projects and preservation, the integrated library system, the library’s technologies and web presence.  Jennifer is passionate about the future of libraries and how she can help to ensure the discovery and delivery of resources and services remain accessible and user-friendly.
