I am a social and cultural historian of the early modern Spanish world with special research interests in how, over time, people have imagined, reimagined, and constructed ways to the sacred. Most recently, I have become interested in the history of emotions, particularly as categories of emotion or feeling, such as love, revealed by early modern people in miracle testimonies.
