Biography

Dr. Terence Cavanaugh is a full professor of Instructional Technology at the University of North Florida’s College of Education and Human Services and a Fulbright Specialist. His areas of expertise include curriculum design, instructional technology, assistive technology, ESL education, and teacher education. He has degrees in science education and instructional technology, science education (holding science teacher certifications in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, General Science, and Middle Grades), and is a state-certified media specialist. He has been a university educator since 1998, specializing in instructional technology, science, and science education. He was a 6-12 classroom teacher for 17 years. He taught science and technology in the US, China, Korea, Bahrain, Kuwait, Tuvalu, and the Caribbean. He has published 15 books on integrating technology with education, including a series of OER books that integrated reading strategies within a classic text, and an ancillary open-source textbook on science for middle and high school science classes about the science found in Florida.
