N2 - Even though supply chain coordination (SCC) is a generally accepted fundamental concept of supply chain management (SCM), academic research indicates different interpretations and perspectives on it. By means of a systematic literature review, this paper investigates research on SCC between seaports and hinterland transportation systems. The analysis provides an overview on research problems that are discussed and relevant in the considered domain. Furthermore, the study gives insights into theoretical perspectives and methodological approaches used to analyze SCC in the seaport-hinterland interface.
