Resumen

Impedance spectroscopy measurements, in the temperature range from room temperature to 600 K, were performed in order to investigate the dielectric and ionic properties of Bi2Sn2O7 ceramics. The results show that the conductivity in this pyrochlore is associated with the hopping of ions. An activation energy of 1.26 eV was observed and the dielectric constant exhibits a strong contribution from ionic conduction.
